I've had a tough time lately with consistency in my workouts...I get most of them in, but I've missed some here and there...plus I've been getting worried about needing to get miles on my legs for the marathon.  I've done some running outside when it's nice out or on the treadmill if it's crappy out, and when I run I've been pushing it as hard as I can for as long as I can, with the thought that I want to make my running "insane".  I sure do like running...as much as I enjoy doing Insanity workouts or P90X workouts, if I had to choose between one of those or going for a run, I'd totally go for a run.  I can be alone with my music, or my thoughts...I get to enjoy outside...fresh air...sunshine.  I've been really encouraged with being able to really pick up my speed.  Today, I went for a 4 mile run and got it done with an 8:08/mile pace.  I was super happy with myself when I got home and my iPod told me my pace.  I've said several times that my goal is to qualify to run Boston when I'm 35.  To do that means getting a marathon done in 3 hours 15 minutes, which is a 7:26/mile pace.  My goal for the Lincoln Marathon is to get done in 3 hours 45 minutes, which works out to a 8:34/mile pace.  Obviously, if I could get it done faster than that, I'd be extatic, but I'm trying to shoot for a realistic goal.  When I did the Omaha 1/2 marathon last October, I got it done in 1 hour 51 minutes, so I think I should be able to get a full done in 3:45 or better.  Plus, it would help me think I'm heading in the right direction.

So what about doing Insanity?  Seeing as how this is my "Insanity Blog", that's a fair question.  I plan on mixing my running with Insanity workouts.  The workouts are amazing, and they will definitely help my overall fitness and speed.  At some point, I really want to do the actual program...all 60 days...I just feel like at the moment I really feel like I need to be running to get miles on my legs for the marathon so I can knock it out of the park.

On a side note...Charlie Sheen is crazy...I'm watching an interview of him on 20/20, and he is absolutely crazy...and/or chemically damaged..
